Action Plan Measures
Support for Health Care
$3.3 Billion
The Action Plan includes $3.3 billion in additional health care investments, including:

$2.1 billion in new initiatives to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak, and;

$1.2 billion to continue to meet demand for services and build a connected and sustainable health care system.
Support for People & Jobs
$3.7 Billion
The Action Plan includes $3.7 billion to support people and to protect jobs through:

$75 million in urgent additional support for 194,000 low-income seniors;

A one-time $200 payment per child up to 12 years of age, and $250 for those with special needs;

Six months of OSAP loan and interest accrual relief;
-
$26 million of new, additional support to Indigenous peoples and communities;
-
$200 million in new funding to provide temporary emergency supports for people in financial need;
-
A $1.5 billion increase in electricity cost relief compared to the 2019 Budget, making electricity bills more affordable for eligible residential, farm and small business consumers;
-
Cutting taxes by $355 million for about 57,000 employers through an Employer Health Tax (EHT) exemption.
Support for
People & Businesses
To Improve Cash Flow
$10 Billion
The Action Plan includes $10 billion to ensure that businesses have cash flow by:

Doubling the Employer Health Tax (EHT) exemption in 2020 – which amounts to a tax cut of $355 million;

Launching a new Regional Opportunities Investment Tax Credit, available to eligible businesses that build, renovate or acquire qualifying commercial and industrial buildings, saving them up to $45,000 in the year;

Freeing up as much as $6 billion in cash flow for about 100,000 businesses to provide flexibility to businesses in Ontario that find it challenging to meet their tax obligations;

Working with WSIB to allow employers to defer up to $1.9 billion in WSIB premium payments for up to six months.
